Extended Pedigree

SIRE:  Sir Oldenburg (Sion - Contender - Tin Rocco) 1998

Every year the FN in Germany makes indexes of all German stallions.  Sir Oldenburg had over 2007 a dressage index of 138 points with a reliability of 84% and a jumping index of 122 points with an accuracy of 75%.  This once again proves that Sir Oldenburg is a top progenitor.

As Sir Oldenburg is proven he was allowed to go directly to the third and final round of the KWPN stallion show.  He was approved to go to Ermelo for a short test period.

On 10th January 2008 a post stallion licensing for the Westfalian studbook took place. Sir Oldenburg was presented and because he is already approved for other studbooks became "anerkant" without any doubt for the Westfalian studbook - he even received a standing ovation!

About Sir Oldenburg

Sir Oldenburg was an audience favourite where he passed his Köerung in Oldenburg in 2000.

He was Premium stallion and placed third in the 30-day stallion performance test at Neustadt-Dosse with a rideability score of 9.0 being only 4 weeks under saddle.

2001 Statechampion of the three-year old stallions from Oldenburg in Rastede under Heiko Klausing.

2002 Reservechampion of the four-year old stallions in Rastede.

He won the Bronze medal at the 2002 Bundeschampionate (Nationals) of four-year old stallions at Warendorf.

In 2003 he qualified for the Bundeschampionate of 5 year old dressage horses in Warendorf under Katrin Burger.

Sir Oldenburg qualified for the Bundeschampionate (National championships) for the 4th time in 2004.  After a second place in the minor finale he achieved 12th place in the major finale as "best Oldenburg".

His movement is spectacular with a lot of mechanic and he shows a lot of scope over a fence.

Sir Oldenburg has won dressage tests at M-level with scores of up to 8.8

He is trained at Prix St Georges level.

He has a breeding value index for dressage of 144 points, ranking him amongst the top five percent of the German dressage stallions.

Sir Oldenburg's sire Sion is known in Oldenburg as a highly versatile sire. His highly noble progeny have shown great success in Dressage, Show jumping and eventing as well as being a quality fixture at the Vechta elite auctions.  Sion has presented a high number of licensed sons as well as the 1995 Elite mare show winner Viktoria B.

Sion belongs to one of the established dressage progenitors within the Oldenburger breeding and further establishes the line of sire Sultan.  Sion is Dutch bred out of the renowned Trichta-line (NL-029).

Sir Oldenburg’s dam sire, Contender, needs no introduction.  He has been at the forefront of breeding in Germany for several years.  Contender won his 100 day test in Adelheidsdorf in 1987 and has been highly rated by the German FN for several years in both dressage and jumping statistics.

From the dam side in the third generation, there is again Holsteiner jumping blood via the stallion Tin Rocco (Tin Rod xx - Roman) who is famous for being the sire of the renowned showjumper Let's Go with Roelof Bril.

The line on the dam's side goes back to the Gelders mare Gunetta II via the Thoroughbred stallion Apollo xx.  Gunetta II also enjoys nororiety as the dam of the Oldenburg stallion Grand Slam (Gradios) who was sucessful in dressage.

In January 2010, Sir Oldenburg moved to stand  in Sweden.  More information can be found here.

DAM:  Florida E (Arpeggio - Polany - Domenico) 2001

Florida was awarded Premium foal at the SWB foal inspection.

She was ridden for 6 months in Germany as a 3 year old prior to being put in foal.  She has extremely good movement and a good jumping technique coupled with a golden temperament.

Florida E graded into the Main Mare Studbook with the Oldenburg Verband in 2007.  She is also graded in the Hauptstutbuch I with the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Florida´s maternity line is one of Hollands most successful ones, it goes back to the foundation mare Zottie who was awarded with everything a successful breeding mare can get.  She was a full sister to the famous Marco Polo.

In 2005, Florida produced coloured colt Wyoming E by Wind Dancer (Weltruhm - Argentan I) he was awarded Premium at the Mecklenburg foal inspection.  He has since been awarded his "ticket" to the stallion pre-selection with the Mecklenburg Verband.  Wyoming E is now in America.

Florida produced the absolutely stunning colt San Diego E by Sancisco (Sandro Hit-Rohdiamant) in 2006.  He was awarded Premium with the Mecklenburg, awarded 9´s for his gaits.  He was sold to Gestut Kempke Hof in Germany.  He is now in Norway.

Florida produced the fabulous bay tobiano filly, Firebird C  in 2007.

Fair Oaks C's full sister is Fairfax C who was born in 2008.

DAM SIRE: Arpeggio (Acord II - Power -  Schoning) 1995

After the deaths of Westphalian trademark stallions Pilot and Polydor, things quietened down in the show jumper breeding in Westphalia.  But this dry spell did not last long; one ofthe new heroes is Arpeggio.  Although this is not surprising as his bloodlines can also be traced back to Pilot.

Arpeggio is known as a creator of mares.  Arpeggio daughters are making a name of themselves as dams of stallions.

This Warendorf State Stud sire has turned into an outstanding sire - 23 of his offspring are successful at S level, his progeny have won EUR 450,000 in prize funds and six of his sons have been licensed.  A high number of performance horses among his progeny is surely an undisputed mark of the outstanding nature of his ability to sire horses offering superby jumping, performance and rideability.  The FN estimates his breeding value in dressage as a score of 124 and 135 in respect of jumping.

So we can conclude that Arpeggio is one of the most versatile sires in Germany!

Arpeggio was vice-champion of the 1997 NRW national approval in Munster-Handorf.

His sire, Acord II, was the stallion performance test winner and federal vice-champion and was in heavy demand by breeders from all over the country and from neighbouring countries.  Numerous approved sons resulted from the first few covering years including the champion stallions of the Hessian stallion approvals and the ZfDP 1996.

Arpeggio’s dam, the state premium mare Perle is a highly successful showjumper up to intermediate-A class.  This mare with her strong paces received a score of 9.0 in free jumping in her field test.

Damsire Power was also a successful showjumper.  Schoning was the stallion performance test winner of his age class.

After producing her third foal, Arpeggio in 1995, Perle took a break from breeding, she was given the name Padua in the sport and competed under Martin Diekhoff-Holsen, son of her breeder.  What people expected from her offspring was also demonstrated by the dam: willingness to perform, ability, technique.  The evidence of her sporting prowess is available for all to see: 48 placings in M and L-level show jumping, five victories at M level alone, several of which were won in jump offs.  These awards also brought her the title of Performance Mare – Show Jumping.
